This is my review, or “show and tell” of my 2011 Gold Proof Sovereign. The Royal Mint issued only 15000 of these Full Gold Proof Sovereigns in 2011. A full gold sovereign is 22 carat gold to the finest proof quality, which weights 7.98 grammes, measures 22.05 millimetres in diameter and is legal tender within the United Kingdom. As such, they are exempt from capital gains tax in the UK, so are a good investment item.
